Jeanie Lee, has over 20 years of experience in education- both with school systems and in non-profits and started her career as a 2ndgrade teacher. Most recently Jeanie was the Executive Director of the DC Public Education Fund where she raised over $70M in private investments to support the start-up of several legacy initiatives such as DCPS Persists, the first college completion program run by a traditional urban school district, Bard Early College DC, and of course, XQ’s HS redesign partnership with DC Public Schools. Prior to the Fund she was Chief of Staff to the Office of Teaching and Learning at DC Public Schools.
