Speaker Bio
Limin Feng is a professor at College of Life Science, Beijing Normal University (BNU). He was interested in ecological research and conservation issue with multi-scales in endangered species, especially felid species such as tigers, leopards. BNU's team and Feng launched the project of Tiger-Leopard Observation Network in China (TLON) since 2005 to provide the nation-wide monitoring network and long-term research platform for the conservation of the two big cats in China. Based on the scientific research, BNU‘s team and Feng have convinced the Chinese central government to create a 14,000-square kilometer Northeast Tiger and Leopard National Park in 2015, which is likely to be one of the great tiger success stories in a decade or two.
